Welcome to Digital Marketing Radio. Hello, I’m your host, David Bain. (I’m also author of the 26-Week Digital Marketing Plan).
This is a project I’ve wanted to launch for quite a while now, but I wanted to get it right – and I needed to make sure that I had enough time to do it justice.
So let me know about the background to Digital Marketing Radio – or DMR as I might refer to it moving forwards.
I’ve launched my first business online in the year 2000 – and I’ve been training businesses on how to do the same since 2007.
The 13 Pillars of Internet Marketing
The first training course that I wrote and delivered was called the 13 Pillars of Internet Marketing. That seminar was also recorded on video – and released to purchase as an online training course as well (see the full original video below).

As part of this release I also interviewed many of the top internet marketers of the time – people like Jeff Walker, Brad Fallon and Yaro Starak – and I offered these interviews as bonus material alongside my own training course.
The 26-Week Digital Marketing Plan
I ended up writing a new full day training course called the 26-Week Digital Marketing Plan – and I also recorded more interviews with other industry experts when this new training course was released.
I’ve now recorded 3 versions of the 26-Week Digital Marketing Plan – the last being in late 2013. The latest version is over 26 hours long – so I’m not sure at this stage if I ever want to record another version, or if I’d prefer to move onto something different. At this stage something different sounds more appealing.
The vast majority of what I teach in the 26-Week Digital Marketing Plan will retain its relevance for a very long time, as it’s based on long-term successful marketing strategies and not short term wins. N.B. I also recorded a seminar called the 4-Phases of Digital Marketing to explain the framework behind my 26-week plan – see that video embedded below.

But rather than keeping on producing new, updated versions of the 26-Week Digital Marketing Plan, I thought that a great way of keeping my followers up-to-date would be to continually publish interviews with niche digital marketing experts.
And then came Digital Marketing Radio
And that’s when I came up with the concept for Digital Marketing Radio – recording and publishing interviews with digital marketing niche experts every week.
I actually also started publishing another monthly magazine called Digital Marketing Monthly in 2012 and that did quite well, but as I wanted to focus on interviews and therefore I’ve turned that brand into Digital Marketing Radio.
But what about you dear listener?
But the most important person involved in Digital Marketing Radio isn’t me or the interviewee. It’s you dear listener.
I need to make sure that I’m concentrating on the topics that you want to find out more about – and that I’m asking the questions that you want to ask, and probing deeper when I need to.
I would therefore really appreciate your feedback. What did you like about each interview? What do you think about the show format and style? What else would you have asked? Who would you like to see on as a future guest? What do you like about the magazine? How can we improve it even further?
